Silk Applique Thangka Gallery

The Eastern Tibetan silk applique thangkas called "trejar", are hand painted silk applique using the cut/glue method. The attention to the Buddhist icononography, and the finest silks and brocades available are incorporated, giving these thangkas a 3D look. The silks from China, India, Vietnam and Thailand, are used to create these images.
