Our First Project

Terris and Leslie met in Koh Samet , Thailand, in 1990 and began an artistic adventure.
The next several years were spent in Krabi, Southern Thailand, there Leslie learned traditional Tibetan tangka painting. The end of that period she became a thangka painter.
Because of that experience and wanting to embark on a first art project with Terris, they decided to make a Buddha painting on silk using mineral pigments to be humbly given to the People of Thailand for the countrys wonderful hospitality during that period. They presented the completed painting to the King of Thailand in 1992, a week prior to departing to Tibet, and accepting the commission to make the Giant Tsurphu Thangka for His Holiness the 17th Karmapa and Tsurphu Monastert, in Tibet.
